Jennie Smythe
Jennie Smythe is Founder and Chief Executive Officer of award-winning Girlilla Marketing, the driving force behind the digital strategy for a diverse roster of world-famous entertainers and brands. Jennie's self-built company celebrated 15 years of success in 2023, where she and her talented team oversee digital marketing campaigns for clients Dead & Company, Darius Rucker, Blondie, Kristin Chenoweth, Willie Nelson, Chrissy Metz, Vince Gill and many others.
With more than 25 years of experience in music and marketing, Jennie's career began at Elektra Entertainment, and includes time at Disney’s Hollywood Records and YAHOO! Music. She landed in Nashville after being recruited to join Warner Bros. Records’ New Media Department, and later served as Clear Channel Sr. Director of Content and Marketing. In 2008, her passion and career experience inspired the launch of Girlilla Marketing.
Today Jennie continues to bring a creative approach to the ever-changing digital landscape. She has been featured in the Associated Press, Billboard, Fast Company, People, HITS and The Tennessean. She is a multi-year winner of the Nashville Business Journal’s Women in Music City Awards, a MusicRow magazine Rising Women on the Row honoree and was recognized on the Nashville Post In Charge 2023: Music list. Additionally, she recently completed the Susan G Komen 3-Day Walk and shared her experience on the organization's 3-Day Blog.
Smythe is currently President-Elect of the Country Music Association as well as on the boards of the CMA Foundation (past chairperson) and Music Health Alliance. She is a past board member of the Academy of Country Music, and a graduate of the prestigious Leadership Music executive training program.
Ashley Alexander
Ashley Alexander is Chief Marketing Officer of renowned firm Girlilla Marketing, directing the digital strategy for numerous headlining musicians and powerhouse brands including Blondie, Bobby Weir, Coy Bowles, Dead & Company, Lee Ann Womack, Wade Bowen, Artist Rights Alliance and Wesley Dean.
Ashley enjoys helping artists find creative and meaningful ways to reintroduce their acclaimed work to new audiences. Among Ashley's many noteworthy projects, she supported the release of Debbie Harry’s Face It: A Memoir, Blondie’s Against The Odds: 1974-1982, and the 25th anniversary spotlights for Lee Ann Womack’s most-loved recordings.
Ashley joined Girlilla Marketing at its inception in 2008 and today her role encompasses digital monetization, social media, content development, live event amplification, digital advertising, email marketing, website content management and influencer identification.
She is an in-demand speaker, a graduate of the Leadership Music program and a MusicRow magazine Next Big Thing industry executive. She is a member of the Country Music Association, Digital Divas, the invitation-only organization SOURCE, and an alumna of SOLID and Women’s Music Business Association.
A native of Birmingham, AL, Ashley graduated from Belmont University’s Mike Curb College of Entertainment & Music Business. She and her husband are proud parents of two daughters, and are actively involved with their neighborhood’s Women’s League, which supports public schools and scholarships for students in financial need.
Stevie Zea Escoto
Stevie Escoto is a digital marketing expert with almost two decades of experience in the entertainment business. In her role as Senior Managing Director of renowned Girlilla Marketing, she integrates digital strategies for clients, focusing on digital monetization, social media, live event amplification, digital advertising, email marketing, influencer identification and more.
Stevie is an enthusiastic advocate for a high-profile mix of clients, ranging from entertainers to athletes: Aasif Mandvi, Darius Rucker, Maddie & Tae, Super Serious, Terri Clark, Terry Crews, Tracy Lawrence and Vince Gill.
She joined Girlilla Marketing at its inception and today represents the company at speaking engagements and networking events. Stevie was a founding member of the inaugural CMA Women's Leadership Academy, a HitsDailyDouble Noisemaker and highlighted in MusicRow's Next Big Thing Industry Directory.
Stevie is an Arizona native who graduated from the music business program at Middle Tennessee State University, followed by time at Broken Bow Records, Lyric Street Records and various management companies. She is a member of the Country Music Association and Digital Divas, and an advocate for Music Health Alliance and St. Jude. When she’s not at the office, she utilizes her marketing skills at home, recently leading her son’s campaign for the fan-voted No. 1 youth mullet in the state of Tennessee in the USA Mullet Competition.
Lindsey Feinstein
Lindsey Feinstein is an Account Director at Girlilla Marketing, spearheading the digital strategy for clients Brooke Shields, Chrissy Metz, Iliza Shlesinger, Iris Apfel, Kristin Chenoweth, and Lauren Weintraub. Lindsey is an expert in content creation and roll-out, email marketing, digital analytics, branding, and fan engagement.
Lindsey led digital efforts for Tenille Arts’ record-breaking single, “Somebody Like That,” the first No. 1 record on country radio to be produced, written, and performed solely by women. Other career highlights include the launch of Pretty Baby: Brooke Shields, which became ABC News’ most-watched Hulu debut of all-time, and Chrissy Metz’s children’s book, When I Talk to God, I Talk About You, which became a two-week New York Times best-seller.
A leader among her peers, Lindsey was selected for MusicRow’s Next Big Thing Music Industry Directory and is a frequent guest on panels for students aspiring to work in digital marketing and the music industry. She is a member of the Country Music Association and mentor for CMA EDU students.
A native of New York City, Lindsey graduated from prestigious Vanderbilt University and joined Girlilla Marketing in 2017. She enjoys time with her dog Chuck and supporting charitable organizations for mental healthcare, voting access, music education, and fighting childhood cancer.
Conley Sweeney
Conley Sweeney is a digital marketing expert and Account Director at Girlilla Marketing, overseeing strategy for clients Willie Nelson, Lukas Nelson, Paul Simon, Edie Brickell, Million Dollar Cowboy Bar, Ryan Larkins, Neon Union, Jay DeMarcus and Red Street Country. She guides clients in identifying and developing unique brand identities, and leads online content creation. Conley specializes in the monitor, upkeep and growth of digital spaces, including social media profiles, websites and digital service providers, as well as email marketing, fan engagement and analytics.
Since joining the company in 2016, Conley has been a valued team member of Girlilla Marketing. Her recent career highlights include the “Get Willie to a Milli” campaign, helping Willie Nelson reach one million followers on Instagram.
A native of Hopkinsville, KY, Conley was inspired to be in the music business by her father, a songwriter, and followed that dream to Belmont University in Nashville. She was selected for MusicRow's 2024 Next Big Thing Music Industry Directory and is a member of the Country Music Association and Digital Divas. Outside of work, Conley also enjoys time with her golden retriever, Sadie.
Alex Kinker
Alex Kinker is Junior Account Director at Girlilla Marketing, overseeing the digital strategy for a mix of high-profile entertainers and brands including Bobby Weir, Dead & Company, Patricia Heaton, Higdon Plastic Surgery, Music Health Alliance, and more. Alex is experienced in social media, tour marketing, paid media, email marketing, contesting and data analytics. Her interest in digital marketing was sparked during a previous role at the American Marketing Association.
She moved to Nashville and worked at Average Joe’s Entertainment before settling at Girlilla Marketing in 2017. Alex is a member of the Country Music Association, SOLID, and the Americana Music Association. She is a native of Valdosta, GA and graduate of Valdosta State University. Alex enjoys live music and hanging with her rescue pup, Beckham, adopted from her favorite charity, Wags and Walks Nashville.
Gigi Morrison
Gigi Morrison leads all creative initiatives at Girlilla Marketing, working to visually elevate the online presences of the company’s entire roster of entertainers and brands. Gigi spearheads creative asset development across web design, album artwork, merchandise, advertising and print materials. She is an integral part of career launches, helping develop every aspect of rising artists’ visual identities, as well as maintaining on-brand content for established artists including Thomas Rhett, Lukas Nelson, Maddie & Tae, Neon Union, Ryan Larkins and many others.
Gigi is a trained graphic designer, with a skill set encompassing cartooning, video editing, animation and more. She is a cum laude graduate of Lipscomb University, a member of the Country Music Association and a Dungeons & Dragons aficionado.
Maddie Cannatella
Maddie Cannatella is a Senior Account Coordinator at Girlilla Marketing, assisting with digital marketing for many clients including Brooke Shields, Kristin Chenoweth, Iliza Shlesinger, and more. She is passionate about collecting and analyzing data to more effectively curate the digital ecosystem of each client. Her duties include content curation and publishing for social media platforms, live event amplification, and social video editing.
Maddie is a native of Louisiana, where her family owns a fourth-generation Italian grocery store. She is a Louisiana State University graduate, a member of the Country Music Association, enjoys playing with her dog Fig, and supporting the non-profit Thistle Farms.
Catherine Bagwell
Catherine Bagwell is Senior Account Coordinator at Girlilla Marketing, bringing creativity and enthusiasm to her role as digital strategist for clients such as Million Dollar Cowboy Bar, Lukas Nelson, Neon Union, Ryan Larkins and Willie Nelson. Catherine specializes in content planning and publishing, website updates and maintenance, event promotion through localized marketing, asset creation, collecting analytics and short-form video editing.
She is a graduate of the University of Tennessee, where she first became interested in digital marketing. She went on to receive an M.B.A. from Middle Tennessee State University. Charitable initiatives include Grace Place Ministry, Inc. which aids single mothers in need in her hometown of Hendersonville, TN.
Haley Hansen
Haley Hansen is Senior Account Coordinator at Girlilla Marketing, specializing in content planning and publishing, website updates and maintenance, event promotion, social content creation and analytics. She works with clients such as Terry Crews, Darius Rucker, Maddie & Tae, Tracy Lawrence, and Terri Clark. Haley excels at the ideation and roll-out of short-form videos and trending content.
She is a native of Tampa, FL and graduate of Florida State University who transitioned a background in beauty and influencer public relations to digital marketing with a focus on music and hospitality. She proudly supports Tracy Lawrence’s Mission:Possible, which fights hunger and homelessness in Nashville.
Kate Cacopardo
Kate Cacopardo is Senior Account Coordinator at Girlilla Marketing, handling social media marketing, content creation, email marketing and fan engagement for clients A-GAME Beverages, Artist Rights Alliance, Coy Bowles, Blondie, Lee Ann Womack, Wade Bowen and Wesley Dean. Kate takes a personalized and creative interest in her work, such as directing a recent holiday content shoot featuring Lee Ann Womack. Kate's resume includes time at Q Prime South and Ocean Way Nashville Studios.
She is a Knoxville, TN native and graduate of Belmont University, where she co-founded Music Row Promo, an organization connecting students and professionals to workshop music marketing projects. She is Co-Director of Digital for Young Entertainment Professionals (YEP) Nashville, a CMA EDU alumna and mentor and member of SOLID Class of 2024. Charitable initiatives include Insulin for Life.
Taylor Rupp
Taylor Rupp is an Account Coordinator at Girlilla Marketing, bringing enthusiasm and dedication to her role. Taylor assists with handling digital marketing initiatives such as content ideation and creation, content planning, short-form video editing, and analytics reporting for clients like Dead & Company, Bobby Weir, Little River Band, Higdon Plastic Surgery, Patricia Heaton, Music Health Alliance, and more.
Taylor was born and raised in Starkville, MS, and recently moved to Nashville after graduating college in May of 2024. She is a Mississippi State University graduate, where she earned a Bachelor of Science Business Administration and Marketing. In her spare time, Taylor enjoys going to concerts and trying new workout classes. Charitable initiatives include supporting the non-profit Mending Hearts.
